Online Safeguarding

How can we safeguard our pupils online in school and at home?

In this afternoon session Rebecca Macdonald, a specialist Student Safety Analyst, will present and cover areas of focus that schools should look to incorporate and include within their safeguarding policies as well as exploring tools that can help keep students safe in a mobile connected world.

The session will cover:
• Knife Crime
• Cyberbullying
• Self-Harm
• Eating disorders

We will discuss these topics from an internet safety sense - how these topics/issues are portrayed online, how safeguarding products can help by flagging such harmful content and then provide information on ways in which schools and parents can help identify potential signs to look out for that may indicate that a child is struggling.
