Financial Literacy Virtual Camp Fall Sessions (Weekly from Nov. 17- Dec. 15)
The Junior Economic Club is a student run nonprofit organization that exposes high school students to the fields of business, economics, finance, and entrepreneurship. We connect like minded high school students from all across Chicago and Nashville through our workshops, forums, and events. The Junior Economic Club of Chicago and Nashville is organizing free of charge virtual programs teaching financial literacy skills to incoming 7th and 8th grade students across the city. Studies have shown that in-school teaching of financial literacy skills at a young age is very influential in regards to that student’s financial success as an adult. Unfortunately, these important skills are rarely taught in middle, or even high schools. Upon completion of this interactive and engaging camp, students will have developed new skills in the fields of smart budgeting, wise credit use, and minimizing financial risk. This program will allow students to apply strong financial management skills to their lives, regardless of income.
