1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The on board analysis function of the cruise control device requires Subaru Select Monitor.

The on board diagnosis function works in 2 groups, which are used based on the kind of problems;

1. Cruise Control Cancel Conditions Diagnosis:

(1) This group of diagnosis requires actual vehicle traveling in an effort to ascertain the main cause, as when cruise velocity is cancelled during operating although cruise cancel state is not entered.

(2) Cruise control remembering in ECM shops the cancel code that occurred during driving. When there are several cancel code, they're revealed over the Subaru Select Monitor.

CAUTION:

• During the cruise control memory, not just the cruise control "cancel" occurred (although the "cancel" procedure isn't entered through the car owner), but also the "cancel" condition enter by the car owner is kept.

• The newest memory content (newest code) is cleared when ignition switch is considered OFF. Nevertheless, memory contents established by the examination of faulty switches associated with the program and cruise control will stay as trouble history (mind code) after the ignition switch is considered OFF.

2. Real time Diagnosis:

Real-time diagnosis function is employed to find out if the input signal device is in order that is great, based on signal emitted from changes, receptors, and more.

(1) Vehicle can't be pushed at cruise speed whenever the trouble happens within the cruise control system or maybe pertinent circuits.

(2) Monitor the signal problems from sensors & switches.
