EE is Everywhere: Conversations on the Crucial Role of Environmental Education in our Changing World
March 22, 2018 at Yale University's Kroon Hall in New Haven, CT.
We invite you to submit your proposal for sessions that go beyond curriculum and provide opportunities for attendees to think deeply about where we are and how we can move our profession forward, together. While all proposals are welcome, we are particularly interested in hands-on sessions that truly engage the audience, ignite meaningful conversation and highlight the innovative and unique ways Environmental Education is infused and can be infused into all aspects of our society. We are also looking for proposals that support one or more of our 3 tracks:
1. Green LEAF schools and Schoolyards as Safe Greenspaces2. Youth leadership and the future of Environmental Education in CT 3. What is Impact: creative metrics and embracing data driven EE
Sessions led by youth are encouraged. The conference will also feature several field trips that will highlight the innovative work of educators in New Haven so place-based New Haven proposals are also encouraged.
We hope attendees leave with an expanded vision of the role of environmental education in Connecticut and a plan for collaborative action in their own communities.
You may submit a proposal by filling out the form below. Please note that slots are limited and priority will be given to proposals that truly adhere to this year's theme and tracks, and offer a new perspective. Preference will also be given to proposals that are hands-on, low-tech and active.
Proposals are due by Wednesday January 31, 2018
Decisions will be announced by Feb 15, 2018
