The Department of Anthropology will host its annual Four Field Symposium on Monday, Oct. 7 from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Michigan Union Rogel Ballroom (second floor).
Titled “Sustainable Life: Culture, Values, and Practice,” the symposium will feature guest speakers from all four subfields and invite discussion of the values and practices that shape and transform cultures of sustainability. Drawing upon a range of cases past and present, we'll seek insights from language, biology, society, and material culture.
