Gothic Hills Cemetery Volunteer Signup
Thank you for your interest in helping us out this year! We are excited to be collecting donations of non-perishable food for the Necessities of Life Program (a local food bank) and partnering with the Best Friends Animal Society for their No Kill LA shelter. Our goal this year is to collect 250 lbs of supplies! Your help with our haunt will benefit so many families in need of food this year, just in time for the holidays. Through this event, we also offer mentorship for area youth who are interested in learning entertainment production skills. Why Volunteer?
Volunteering will give those who are interested, experience in scenic artistry, haunt acting and operations and more. Since we're also showcasing at Midsummer Scream this August, some volunteers can also get into the convention for free. (See Volunteer Guide for details.) We're also working on some other cool volunteer perks for those who lend a hand. We expect to start building our haunts in mid February.

We are not strict about minimum commitments of our volunteers, but we generally hope that each volunteer can contribute at least a couple hours a week to building and running the haunt, and any skill level is OK. As long as you can hold a paint brush or talk to guests, you can help! If you still want to help but can't commit much time, we are OK with that.

If you volunteer, you might encounter tasks related to:
- Painting wall flats and scenery
- Using power tools... YEAH! *GRUNT*
- Prop and scenery making & repairs
- Structure setup
- Lighting & Special effects setup & operation
- Crowd and traffic control
- Backstage technical operation
- Crowd control
- Acting in the haunt
- Serving Balthazar's every need.
