Waiver of Liability and Assumption of Risk

I acknowledge that activities; which may include but are not limited to any or all of activities such as hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, cycling, trail work, and/or trail related maintenance, in which I am participating in, involves risks which are beyond the control of the MTA. Notwithstanding the acknowledgement of such risks, I hereby release the MTA, from all claims for damage however so arising as a result of our participation in this and any other activity organized by the MTA. I agree to pay the cost of the emergency evacuation of my person and belongings that may be necessary. I affirm that I am aware of the nature of this activity, its length, duration, degrees of difficulty, and that I am properly equipped and physically able to participate. I have no medical or other condition which might preclude my participation. I agree to follow the directions of the leader and any assistants at all times.

MTA Member permitted uses within Falls Reserve Conservation Area (FRCA):
  • MTA trail use area shown on the map below with the yellow highlight 
  • Does not include other trails or other areas within FRCA
  • Includes the use of the washroom at the north west, also highlighted (opened seasonally from April to October)
  • Trail use is for foot traffic only, which includes: hiking, running, skiing and snowshoeing
  • Parking at the gate is not permitted at any time unless a FRCA pass is purchased
  • Follow the Trail Users Code, and the rules and regulations of the Conservation Area
