6pm June 2 - Candlelight Vigil Against Hate, in memory of Lt. Richard W. Collins III
Friday, June 2, 2017, 6pm-6:30pm, on the steps of Tifereth Israel, 7701 16th Street NW DC (corner of 16th and Juniper)

The murder of Richard Collins III was an act of hatred, and not an isolated incident. We stand with our neighbors in sorrow and call upon our nation to utterly reject the bigotry that fuels such acts.

We come together as one community, interfaith and intercultural, in solidarity and song.

To make our bridges stronger, some members of the local Jewish community have offered to host members of interfaith communities for a traditional Sabbath dinner. If are interested in joining a family for a Sabbath meal that evening, or if you want to host one -- or another sort of bridge-building gathering -- please sign up below, and we will follow up with you.

Vigil attendees are also invited to join for Friday night prayer services at Tifereth Israel or Ohev Sholom (opposite TI).

We look forward to seeing you at the vigil. Everyone is welcome. Please share this invitation with your friends and other groups.

Standing together in solidarity,
Amy Eisner, Shruti Bhatnagar, Amber Romine, Devora Kimelman-Block, Susan Catler, Mark Pattison, and Brad Brooks-Rubin
