The goal of the CCHS Foster Program is to prepare kittens to become adoptable. For this reason, the majority of kittens that come into care are under two months old. A foster will be responsible for socializing the kitten with different toys and exposure to different people, household noises and other pets (if your pets like cats/kittens, if not, a lot of fosters keep them separate). Sometimes there are medical needs like giving oral medication or eye ointment, recovery from spay or neuter surgery and getting vaccinations. We can teach everything! No experience required! CCHS also has a transport team who will transport fosters to and from any vet appointments needed.
