This introductory course is perfect for anyone who is interested in learning more about the cognitive, emotional and social development of young children. Participants will gain new insights into how to optimally support your child's development, with weekly topics such as: fostering independence, guiding decisions/choices, language acquisition and preparing the home environment for your active explorer.
You will be with your child as they work with the Montessori materials, enjoy arts and crafts, join circle time, serve themselves a small snack and play with other toddlers.
Additionally you will learn how young children develop fine and gross motor skills, build on daily experiences, and why it is important to allow your child to "try and try again" during this very important "I do it myself" stage in their life.
Your child must be between 18 months and 2 years, 9 months old by the first day of the class.
