About the event
Staged on Sunday 25th October at San Klement Family Park, Together We Shine is a single-day all-ages event that shines a light on the work of Maltese and Gozitan voluntary organisations, and connects them with the wider community. It is about connection, exploration, and fun for all ages.

The specific timings of the event are TBC, though it will running during the day into the late afternoon.

About hosting in the kids' area

You are invited to host an activity in our kids’ area where a range of fun, interactive experiences for children will take place. Ideas include arts and crafts, face painting, games, animal petting - the more relevant to your VO’s cause, the better. You can list multiple activities that you want to provide.

If you have a children’s activity that requires a specific time slot – for instance a puppet show or storytelling – kindly apply under our Performance or Demonstration application.

Expectations for kids’ area hosts

Bring your own supplies
Be accountable for all monetary transactions conducted in your area - you're welcome to request donations
Ensure your activity is safe for children
Be present for the full duration of the event
Ensure you have enough staff / volunteers to lead your activity for the entirety of the event

What MCVS will provide

Each organisation hosting a children’s activity will receive €100. If you require additional funding for your activity, please outline in the ‘Payment’ question on the form below
If you require extra hands to support your activity, an MCVS volunteer could be able to assist – notify us in the ‘Extra volunteers’ question below
We will lead an extensive marketing campaign for the event
Electricity provided on request

Next steps

We will review all applications once they close on August 14th, and will be in touch in early September with the outcomes. If your participation is confirmed, we will ask you to sign a short agreement letter.

Extra volunteers - MCVS can work to provide VOs who need extra support for set-up, the event's duration, and/or dismantling with a volunteer/s via our Voluntiera Malta programme. Kindly note below if you require volunteers, and if so how many.

There will be a photographer at the event. Kindly ensure that any of your participating staff or volunteers are made aware of this, and if they do not consent to having their photos taken, please inform us via email.
