Who We Are
We are a talent network, a professional pipeline, a dynamic team and a social enterprise. We are volunteers who operate in the spirit of reciprocity and mutuality. Our intention is to build strong ties in networking, to scaffold professional integration in local economies and
to advocate for reciprocal and equitable relations in all that we do.
Our focus is finding, advocating for and supporting employment opportunities that are commensurate with the experience and qualifications of international talent in NL specifically, and Canada generally. For the 2024-2025 academic calendar year, the network is focusing predominantly on international graduate students and international graduate
alumni in NL with permanent residency (PR) needs, but we aim to be inclusive of anyone at any stage of the immigration process (including those who have been here for any amount of time and those who are secure in professional positions), we do not limit membership to graduate students, we are inclusive of any and all professions, and we understand our members to be competing in NL, Canadian and international job markets.
Our network also benefits from the allyship of citizens born in Canada and from the shared social citizenship of home-country communities within NL.
Our Mission
IPN advocates for work for international talent that is commensurate with our experiences and our qualifications, whether those experiences and qualifications exist before arriving
in Canada/NL or are obtained after arriving in Canada/NL.
