This is your chance to have a say in who wins The DBAs Readers' Choice Award in each of the four categories - vote for your winners before 0900 UK time on 7th September 2026. The authors and books below are the official Diverse Book Awards 2026 Longlist. You can vote for your winners from each of the official longlisted categories.

Winners will be announced at the prize-giving at Waterstones Piccadilly, London on 22nd October 2026. All longlisted authors and illustrators will be invited to attend the prize-giving party regardless of whether they make it to the main DBAs shortlist.
