Thanks for thinking about us for your food donations. Looking ahead to better times, we would love to partner with you after COVI to continue avoiding food waste while fighting hunger. We conduct regular food rescue pick-ups from food related businesses in order to provide food to people in need through our pantries and soup kitchen. Partnership and pick-ups are free. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we have temporarily adjusted our food donation operations at New York Common Pantry. These adjustments are only temporary and we look forward to getting back to our normal operations soon:
Pick-up/Drop-off of Food:
We will not be able to maintain our usual pick-up schedule and will only be able to pick up donations on a very limited basis.
We could use your help to arrange drop-offs of donations instead, including shelf-stable grocery items, sandwiches and lunch kits onsite, if you have food available to donate.
Please note that we might have to decline some pick-ups and deliveries if we are at full refrigeration capacity or if personnel is unavailable.
We are currently limiting the quantities of fresh produce we receive (due to perishability).
Please avoid donating food returned from service, food used in buffets or in self-service to minimize exposure at this time.
