Rights4Refugees is a social enterprise based in Detroit, Michigan. Our mission to bridge the gap between refugees and the basic hygiene items they need to live healthy happy lives.  

Rights4Refugees is modeled after Maslow’s hierarchy of needs states that every person should have the basic human needs to function. The positive change Rights4Refugees strives to create is to enhance the biological (basic needs like soap, shampoo, sanitary napkins, etc.) and psychological (mental, emotional, physical) state of refugees impacted by natural or man-made disaster. The social impact Rights4Refugees aims to deliver pre-packaged hygiene boxes that include the most critical hygiene items on the monthly basis.

During the volunteer experience, volunteers will have the opportunity to assist through the following means:

• Assembling hygiene boxes for men, women, children
• Distributing hygiene items and organizing hygiene items for each box
• Curating a hand-written encouraging message for each hygiene box beneficiary
