CENTER FOR EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING I LOYOLA UNIVERSITY CHICAGO
PROJECT IMPACT is a celebration. It is an opportunity to show the positive outcomes of Loyola students working for the community and to show the impact WE can make. It is a chance for our community partners and employers to be a part of the story. PROJECT IMPACT allows students who participate in Center for Experiential Learning programs (service-learning, undergraduate research, academic internships, and student employment on- and off-campus) to document and share their IMPACT. Student-partner teams can choose from an ePortfolio, photo essay, or video format. A selection committee will view the final media projects and select winning projects for each category and an overall winner.
Successful submissions will demonstrate how the project had an impact on:
1. THE STUDENT(S)
2. THE COMMUNITY PARTNER/EMPLOYER
3. THE SOCIETY AT LARGE
ePORTFOLIO, PHOTO ESSAY AND VIDEO WINNER PRIZE: The winning projects from each category will be showcased in a Project Impact Gallery at the annual Civic Engagement Forum on April 21, 2012.
STUDENT GRAND PRIZE is: $750 towards purchasing books for Fall 2012 semester*.
COMMUNITY PARTNER/EMPLOYER GRAND PRIZE: Submission of materials to media outlets in Chicago.
*Alternate awards for seniors graduating in Spring 2012 will be arranged.
