Who is eligible?
Any individual, school, youth group, community group or sports organization may nominate an individual living with a disability who is a resident of Nova Scotia for this award (no individual can nominate himself/herself for the award).
What are the selection criteria?
Nominees will be evaluated for determination and achievement in conquering personal or externally imposed boundaries, with emphasis on leadership, personal excellence and advocacy.
What is the value of the award?
One (1) $1,000 award is available.
How often is this award given?
Typically the James McGregor Stewart Award will be awarded annually. However, the Donor reserves the right to give this award on a more or less frequent basis.
How do you nominate someone for this award?
Please submit this Nomination Form along with all required supporting material as attachments by email to email@example.com. The subject line must include the nominee’s name and the name of the award. What is the deadline?
Applications must be received no later than April 30th.
