What is PRYSE?
PRYSE (Pittsburgh Refugee Youth Summer Enrichment, pronounced "prize") Academy is a summer camp that includes English and academic skill-building curricula, creative expression workshops, field trips, and programming aimed at shaping immigrant and refugee youth into prepared, engaged, and confident members of the Pittsburgh community. Our goal is to engage students in activities that promote (1) academic preparedness, (2) creative expression, and (3) community engagement.
Campers:
Refugee and immigrant youth in middle and high school.
High school students ages 17 and 18 may apply to be PRYSE junior counselors.

*Selected students will only attend ONE SESSION of PRYSE*

Cost:
PRYSE is FREE for campers. Breakfast, lunch, and, bus passes for transportation are included.
Who can nominate students?:
Teachers, social workers, community leaders, mentors, and others who know students and their interests and abilities.
