Feedback on the in-training exam in OBGYN
The Ethiopian society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in collaboration with American college of Obstetricians and Gynecologists with a funding from Center for International reproductive health training has conducted the first in training examination to OBGYN residents on June 18 2018.
The Goal of the exam is build capacity for continued quality improvement in the various components of Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialty training in OBGYN in Ethiopia.
Objective of the exam:
The introduction of in training examination to residents is one of the steps taken to standardize training and assist programs and stakeholders to contribute to improve on identified areas using the exam as an external quality assurance.
The examination is also intended to inspire individual trainees to meet the minimum curriculum expectations. It's meant to show that all questions are answerable as the years of training advances and by no means to assess the current state of performance of the individual candidate.
This feedback tool is to be used as one component of the analysis of the examination process and will be an input to be used to the various components of the curriculum implementation in Obstetrics and Gynecology training.
