Playground: Introduction to Understanding Shakespeare
All the world's a stage. And all the people in it, merely players.

Have you ever watched a Shakespeare play and thought, "I have no idea what these actors are saying!"? We get it. We're here to help.

Shakespeare in the Ruff welcomes you to Introduction to Understanding Shakespeare led by members of Ruff's Collective Artistic Leadership, Kwaku Okyere and Christine Horne.

During this 6 week class Kwaku and Christine will share with you an actor's approach to understanding and untangling the language of Shakespeare's plays.

Using examples from the plays of Ruff's past and present, we'll explore the tools actors use to interpret and personalize these often daunting texts, bringing the plays to vivid life.
