Workshop description
This workshop introduces the Catalan circus company PSiRC’s approach to contemporary circus—combining acrobatics, theatre, and visual poetry—and the company’s methodology for integrating bodily presence, risk, and the denaturalization of objects as tools for crafting original narrative structures. Participants will analyze the key elements of scenic communication, such as message, channel, context, and code, and apply them by devising short pieces.
The workshop is aimed at anyone seeking to strengthen their creative process. Prior experience in circus, dance, or physical theatre is required. Open to all levels (amateurs, students 16+, professionals).
All workshop participants will have a possibility to attend PSiRC's show After all on December 3 or 4 at Rīgas cirks.
