AGRICULTURE AWARD

The Agriculture Award will be presented to the person or agri-business that has demonstrated an effort in the community to further the future of agriculture in Richmond and Madison County.

ELIGIBILITY: Recognized for devotion of time, experience, and efforts for the betterment of agriculture through increased production, market advancement, and programs in Madison County, Kentucky.

CRITERIA: 
- Active member in a farm-related organization. 
- Actively engaged in farming or an agriculture-related business. 
- Has served on local, state, or federal committees to support farmers, programs, and markets.
- Provides selfless service to the agriculture community, often at their own expense.
- Must be an active Richmond Chamber of Commerce member.
B. MICHAEL CAUDILL EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR

Each year, the Richmond Chamber recognizes one individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the community through education. The recipient of this award performs a key function in providing an opportunity for today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.

ELIGIBILITY: A professional recognized in the field of education who has made a significant contribution through education to improve the Richmond community. 

CRITERIA:
- Dedicated and committed to the educational profession and the Richmond community. 
- Competent and resourceful in providing strong ties between education and the business community. 
- Generally recognized by his/her colleagues as an outstanding contributor to the field of education. 
- Respected by students and peers. 
- Chamber membership is not required.
BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD

The Business of the Year Award will be presented to a business that has shown growth in employment and production, while embodying the spirit of community, cooperation, and civic responsibility.

ELIGIBILITY: Any member providing sales of goods and services for profit.

CRITERIA:
- The business must be a good community citizen, actively supporting charitable and civic events, and encouraging its personnel to be active within the community.
- Business has exhibited a substantial history as a successful establishment.
- Business continues to provide stable opportunities for employment.
- The value of their citizenship should be relative to their resources.
- Operates as a competitive and highly ethical business.
The business has more than 20 employees.
- Must be an active Richmond Chamber of Commerce member.
CHRIS & GRACIE HAGER BEAUTIFICATION AWARD

ELIGIBILITY: The Chris & Gracie Hager Beautification Award will be presented to a member business or entity dedicated to enhancing the beauty of the community through physical improvements to their property.

CRITERIA:
- Efforts must significantly enhance the appearance and image of the community.
- Improvements to the exterior of the facilities must have been completed within the last 12 months.
- Must be an active Richmond Chamber of Commerce member.
COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD

The Community Service Award honors an individual or organization dedicated to improving quality of life in Richmond and Madison County through community service.

CRITERIA: 
- Consistently dedicates time, effort, and talents to community service. 
- Enhances the quality of life for the citizens of Richmond and Madison County.
- Must be an active Richmond Chamber of Commerce member.
HOWARD & NEAL COLYER DEDICATION AWARD

ELIGIBILITY: The Howard & Neal Colyer Award will be presented to the Richmond Chamber of Commerce member who has devoted their time and talents to advancing the Chamber’s mission.  

CRITERIA:
- Must actively participate in Chamber activities.
- Promotes membership and encourages active involvement. 
- Contributes their talents to enhance Chamber programs. 
- Has made a significant impact on fulfilling the Chamber’s goals and improving its operations over the past year.
- Must be an active Richmond Chamber of Commerce member.
INDUSTRY AWARD

The Industry Award will be granted to an individual or organization that furthers the industry's future in Madison County, Kentucky. 

ELIGIBILITY: Any organization providing industry sales, goods, or services.

CRITERIA: 
- Business has exhibited a substantial history as a successful establishment. 
- Business continues to provide stable opportunities for employment. 
- Operates as a competitive and ethical organization.
- Must be an active Richmond Chamber of Commerce member.
MINORITY BUSINESS/BUSINESSPERSON OF THE YEAR

The Minority Business/Businessperson of the Year Award will be presented to a business or individual who exhibits the true meaning of fostering community and cooperation through business development and civic stewardship.  

ELIGIBILITY: Any member providing sales of goods and services for profit.

CRITERIA:  
- The business must be a good citizen of the community, actively supporting charitable and civic events and encouraging its personnel to be active within the community.  
- Business has exhibited a substantial history as a successful establishment. 
- Business continues to provide stable opportunities for employment.  
- The value of their citizenship should be relative to their resources.  
- Operates as a competitive and highly ethical business.
- Must be an active Richmond Chamber of Commerce member.
Nonprofit of the Year Award

The Nonprofit of the Year Award will be presented to a nonprofit organization for remarkable achievements within the nonprofit sector. Their mission shall include improving the lives of individuals and enhancing the well-being of the Richmond community. This award will be given to an organization who utilizes all of its resources for the betterment of the community and its citizens. 

Eligibility: Any nonprofit organization offering goods or services, excluding industry.

Criteria: 
- Be an active 501(c) organization located and operating in the Madison County area.
The mission/objective/goals of the organization reflect a community need.
The organization has a reputation for integrity in its dealings with clients, volunteers, staff or other individual/groups.
Shows community impact by demonstrating positive change as a result of the organization’s work.
- Must be an active Richmond Chamber of Commerce member.
SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR

The Business of the Year Award will be presented to a business that has shown growth in employment and production, while embodying the spirit of community, cooperation, and civic responsibility.

ELIGIBILITY: Any member providing sales of goods and services for profit. 

CRITERIA:  
- The business must be a good citizen of the community, actively support charitable and civic events, and encourage its personnel to be active within the community. 
- Business has exhibited a substantial history as a successful establishment. 
- Business continues to provide stable opportunities for employment. 
- The value of their citizenship should be relative to their resources.  
- Operates as a competitive and highly ethical business.  
- The business has fewer than 20 employees.
- Must be an active Richmond Chamber of Commerce member.
WALLACE G. MAFFETT AWARD

This prestigious award is presented in honor of Wallace G. Maffett, whose visionary leadership as mayor created lasting opportunities for Richmond. The award recognizes an individual who embodies the same commitment to community and selfless service.

ELIGIBILITY: Presented to an individual who has devoted time, experience, and effort to promoting Richmond and improving the quality of life for its citizens, without regard for personal gain.

CRITERIA:
- Demonstrates continual service to the community.
- Shows a genuine interest in the well-being of Richmond and Madison County. 
- Has made a positive impact on the quality of life in Richmond. 
- Serves the community with selfless motives.
- Must be an active Richmond Chamber of Commerce member.
