On 11 January the US White House — joined by 10 federal agencies, and HELIOS a coalition of more than 85 universities, and other organizations — declared 2023 to be the Federal Year of Open Science. OpenCore, NASA's introduction to open science curriculum, aims to introduce learners to a nuanced understanding of open science, enabling participants to better understand an open science workflow from end to end. The curriculum focuses on providing learners with a practical tools to help do open science. A fast-pass option is available for advanced open science practitioners.
