We envision a world in which everyone is supported and no one is left out. We offer these scholarships based on financial standing, and level of access to wealth, as well as to support individuals who self-identify as belonging to an underrepresented and/or marginalized group, including but not limited to race/ethnicity, sexual identity, gender identity, and/or other unique identities we do not know to name.
We are creating scholarships this year because we want to bring a beautiful experience to folks who might not otherwise be able to come on a yoga retreat. We are sensitive to the ways in which certain identities (specifically black, indigenous, people of color, as well as LGBTQ folks) are and have long been exhausted and systemically and sometimes personally oppressed, causing among other things, wealth, inclusion and accessibility gaps. This scholarship is a form of social justice and reparation. We have always had the attitude of “paying forward” this experience, encouraging our students to bring the personal gifts of the retreat experience out into their communities. This year’s scholarship is a deepening of that attitude. Thank you for participating! Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
