Outside of health, we have partners in industrial water monitoring, aquaculture, agriculture, conservation biology and more. High school students are testing for mislabeled sushi. Quantified Selfers are tracking their microbiome. Everyday users are even testing their own DNA for genetic markers.

We also recently began work on a multi-year, multi-million-dollar contract with the US Government. It's a good time to come onboard.

Your Purpose:
As a Technical Sales Consultant, you work alongside molecular biologists, software engineers, and visionary medical technologists in a dynamic environment. You participate in the daily activities of the Sales & Marketing team: you listen to partners, clients, and prospects to creatively troubleshoot and solve their unique challenges; and, when appropriate, you help configure and deploy the Biomeme product & service solutions to address their real-world problems. You are part of the Biomeme internal team whose primary focus is to tease out, develop, and implement the right-size solutions for our clients’ novel use-cases. Also, you take the lead to prospect potential customers, shepherd them through the Biomeme sales process, and convert these relationships into long-standing partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
*Prospect potential customers who enter the Biomeme sales process vis-a-vis website inquiries, trade-show leads,
industry seminars, cold-calls, etc.
*Qualify potential customers for mutual fit to determine long-term collaboration opportunities
*Shepherd potential customers through the Biomeme sales process
*Use existing sales & marketing tools and help build new assets as needed to achieve these goals; work with the Sales &
Marketing team to ensure that all prospects and clients have a positive and rewarding experience with Biomeme, its
technology, and its team convert these budding relationships into partnerships that mutually enrich all parties
*Act as a main liaison between Sales & Marketing and Biology, Engineering, and Software teams: contribute to problem
solving and designing solutions for our clients (work with internal teams to create the best solution of Biomeme products
& services that solves client problems/needs)
*Effectively use and scale all relevant CRM, sales, and marketing tools to aid in client acquisition and retention
*Lead Biomeme responses to client requests for proposals and contract submissions
*Lead company activities around Account Management for existing customers and clients

More About You:
You have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related discipline (advanced degree is a plus but not necessary). You have approximately 2 to 5 years of experience as a full-time field researcher, lab technician, or similar. Biomeme seeks a candidate with a strong technical background who desires to transition into a business development role. You have experience working, and possibly leading, projects involving multidisciplinary teams. You have worked in a consulting environment and are familiar with how they operate. You have made presentations of your results/findings to a public audience and you have drafted/created presentations for the same.

You are Astute:
You have a true passion to use biotechnology to solve real-life problems, as evidenced by your education and career choices. You have experience with, and an understanding of, molecular biology and how PCR can be applied outside the lab. You are a good listener and you ask insightful questions. You have a keen intellect and a very strong desire to learn. You are not afraid to ask for help when needed and you play well with your teammates. You have experience interacting with colleagues from different backgrounds and interacting with smart people from various technical industries.

You are Analytical:
You like to explore new territories and learn from others. You can successfully lead clients through the full product assessment and purchasing process: from problem identification, to value assessment, to solution creation and implementation, to relationship building and maintenance. You have a keen understanding of Biomeme’s underlying products & services and are constantly finding ways to apply them appropriately to the right client challenges.

You are Confident:
You are self-assured in your technical abilities and are comfortable with ambiguity and complexity, understanding the most unique, unexpected design solutions sometimes arise from uncertainty. You want to work in a fast-paced startup, where things move quickly, and you are nimble when situations shift.
