Ice Core Early Career Researchers Workshop (ICECReW) is a professional development workshop aimed at early career researchers within +/- 3 years of completing their PhD. It will be held in-person May 7-8, 2023 ahead of the U.S. Ice Core Open Science Meeting on May 8-10. The workshop and Open Science Meeting will be held at the University of Washington, Seattle. Participants will meet with established researchers to better understand the process of planning ice core projects, learn about proposal writing, and connect with potential collaborators. Participants will also work together during and after the workshop to develop short (two page) proposals.
Travel expenses for attendees may be subsidized if needed. Lodging for one night before the main conference and food expenses will be provided. Lodging will be at the University Inn two blocks from the University of Washington campus. Participants must be affiliated with a U.S. institution to be eligible for travel support.
