Encuentro 2025 @JMU: From College to Career
High school or higher ed educators, DEI directors, 2025 scholarship recipients, college partners and other partners, are invited to join us at no cost for the annual one-day conference followed by the VALHEN Scholarship Ceremony. Come together to learn about how professionals across Virginia are working towards Latinx/e student success in higher education while celebrating this years scholarship recipients.

1:15pm ADELANTE Scholarship Ceremony (Virginia students and families will receive their scholarships)

This event is free and will include coffee and muffins for breakfast and a luncheon keynote with Sindy Benavides, Former President and CEO for the latino Victory Project followed by the ADELANTE and ALIANZA award ceremony. Parking will be free at any of the Warsaw, Mason Street, or Grace Parking decks.
