Communication:
We kindly ask that vendors remain easily accessible, responsive, and timely when it comes to business-related matters. For example, during onboarding, we appreciate consistent and prompt communication. If communication becomes inconsistent or delayed, we may need to reassess moving forward together.
Social Media:
We encourage vendors to stay active on social media, particularly Instagram, as it’s one of our primary marketing channels. If you have a small follower count (less than 10k), we expect you to post frequently in order to grow your community. We suggest posting at least 8 times per month. For vendors with larger followings, we encourage more frequent engagement.
We’ll prioritize vendors who are active on social media and demonstrate their own dedication to growing their work and brand. It’s crucial that you promote yourself as well—help us help you. We also appreciate it when you share our posts on your Instagram stories from time to time, helping promote the platform to your audience.
Willingness to Collaborate:
Collaboration is key! We’re excited about the growing number of joint projects with our vendors, such as collaborative posts, interviews, Q&As, exclusive promotions, and more. We frequently highlight vendor products in our Instagram stories, and we kindly expect that you’ll be open to collaborating with us whenever possible. Vendors who send in content, answer questions, and accept invitations to collaborate on Instagram are showing the enthusiasm needed to grow their own brands, while helping us grow as a community.
Sharing Your Vendor Page:
If you have a link to your Etsy, Minted, or any other third-party direct-to-consumer (D2C) site in your website, Instagram bio, or email signature, we kindly ask that you also include the link to your Aware House vendor page in those spots. If you don’t have a third-party D2C link, we’d love for you to share your Aware House vendor page link with your audience if that's something you are comfortable with. The more traffic we get to the website, whether from your link or another vendor's, the more exposure you’ll receive!
Inventory Turnover:
We are actively analyzing inventory turnover rates. If we have a vendor who meets all of the above expectations but has a low inventory turnover rate, we will continue to work to increase their sales and monitor the progress. However, if vendors do not meet the outlined expectations (i.e. vendor is not willing to collaborate on social media or share their work on our Platform) and have low turnover rates, we may need to reconsider our partnership. We understand that life and work can sometimes get in the way and we recognize that many of you are small businesses or solo-entrepreneurs. However, it’s crucial that you help us help you. Prioritizing vendors who meet these expectations and are dedicated to being active members of the Aware House community is key to our mutual success.
