The employer applying for recognition aspires to pay all employees the most up-to-date living wage rate ($13.31/hour) or equivalent with basic needs benefits. This can exclude "living wage exempt" employees: apprentices, interns, temporary or project-based employees working no more than 45 days per year, minors working fewer than 35 hours per week, new hires whose probationary period does not exceed 90 days, or AmeriCorps members. *
