The world of animal rescue is an instantaneous one.  

This type of foster is near and dear to our hearts and is why we are now offering financial support through a quarterly, Journey's End Grant for animals that have been in care for a minimum of 2 years or have been deemed a permanent member of the rescue.  

How it works:
- A maximum of $1,500 will be available, per quarter, for a total of $6,000 per year
- Rescues must complete the following application form in full, within the time frames provided
- Submissions may include, but are not limited to, vet bills, specialty supplies, kennel fees or training sessions
- The Journey's End Grant is meant to replace funds already spent, therefore, receipts will be required

- Upon submission close, the Berkeley's Place Board of Directors will review submissions, determine eligibility and provide approval for that quarter's grant of $1,500
- If the selected rescue's application is for less than $1,500, additional eligible applications from Rescues will be considered to reach the $1,500 per quarter award
- Any applications that are not awarded may be resubmitted in future quarters of the same granting year

Qualifications:
- Rescues must have charity status with the Canadian Revenue Agency
- Rescues may apply for more than one animal (any species in care), but must complete an application form for each animal submitted.   Rescue can only be the recipient of one full grant per year (total of $1,500), with which can be any combination of multiple animals in care.
- The animal must be deemed a permanent member of the rescue or have been in care for a minimum of two years
- Receipts must be from within one year of the submission opening date of application period and can only be awarded grant funding once

- Recipients of the grant are required to share photos and animal content with Berkeley's Place to be used on our social media channels
- Successful Grant Recipients MUST post on their social media channels acknowledgement of receipt of grant  funding from Berkeley's Place and must tag Berkeley's Place in same post, within no more than 1 week (7 days) of the grant monies being received by the Rescue

Deadlines:
- Quarter One submission period is January 1 - February 1 with grant being awarded by March 1
- Quarter Two submission period is April 1 - May 1 with grant being awarded by June 1
- Quarter Three submission period is July 1 - August 1 with grant being awarded by September 1
- Quarter Four submission period is October 1 - November 1 with grant being awarded by December 1
