Flat Track Fever 2026 Officials Application
Chinook City Roller Derby is thrilled to invite skating and non-skating officials to the 13th annual Flat Track Fever competition on May 8-10, 2026, at Acadia Rec Complex in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

We plan to be featuring WFTDA sanctioned brackets, a regulated WFTDA non-sanctioned bracket, an open-gender bracket, and a JRDA Level 3 bracket, and MRDA bracket. Scrimmages, women's or open gender regulation games played under the current rules of roller derby outlined by WFTDA, MRDA, and JRDA, as appropriate as of the date of the tournament.

We'll require the majority of officials to plan to be potentially available from 9 am to 9 pm all three days of the tournament. However, we may have some limited availability to accommodate scheduling issues.
This application will remain open until all positions are filled.

Early acceptance prior to the deadline may also be offered to qualified officials traveling from outside Alberta, who need additional time to make travel arrangements; please contact the head officials if you wish to request this option.

For NSOs... FTF sometimes tries out experimental stuff and uses new technology or software. From 1 (not comfortable) to 5 (very comfortable) how do you feel about trying out new officiating procedures or technologies?
Clear selection
Dietary restrictions we need to know about for event-provided meals:
If listing allergies, it's super helpful if you tell us how we can help you manage; ie, do we just need to provide alternative foods, or do we need to keep this particular food out of the officials' room entirely?
Do you anticipate having any role at FTF 2026 other than as an official, such as playing or coaching? If so, please explain. Having another role does not automatically disqualify you from participating as an official but may affect your acceptance or scheduling.  *
Are Sanctioned games important to you for any goals as an official?
Clear selection
Is there anything else you would like the tournament heads to know about your application?
Please let us know if you have experienced any barriers to participating in derby as the result of being geographically isolated, or by your race, gender, religion, sexuality or any other factor, and you would like the leadership team to consider this as part of your application.
A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.
