Make-a-thon is an annual three-day innovation competition for NC State students, who work in teams to create solutions to sustainability challenges facing campus or the community. The 2020 Make-a-Thon will be held Jan 24-26 at NC State University
Your company or organization is invited to get involved in this event through financial or in-kind sponsorship, being a mentor for students participating in the event, and/or judging the final projects. Through this form, you can let us know how you are interested in being involved.

Be A Mentor
Please let us know which shift(s) you'd like include for yourself on Saturday, Jan. 25th. We typically see heavy traffic in the mid-afternoon and prefer to stagger our volunteers. If possible, please choose up to 4-hour-long time slots you are free, and we can plug you into what best fits your availability and overall coverage. We need to hear from mentors by the end of the day on Monday, Jan. 20th on preferences.
Are you interested in being a mentor for student teams during Make-a-thon?
Mentor time commitment is flexible, but includes 2 or more hours on Saturday, Jan 25. We will follow up closer to the event about scheduling.

What are you prepared to help students with?
We'll collect areas of specialty around themes and have mentors pick up coordinating stickers for "build day". (Ex. electronics, 3D design, business creation, pitching an idea).
Be A Judge
Are you interested in judging the final student Make-a-thon projects?
Make-a-thon judges have the reward of hearing and seeing the outcome of student projects, plus the responsibility of choosing winners. Experience in sustainability, design or entrepreneurship is preferred but not necessary.
Can you be present at NC State's James B. Hunt Jr. Library on Sunday, Jan 26 between 11 a.m. through 2 p.m.? Specific details to follow!
