23rd Annual Beat the Heat Conference Call for Presentations - June 22, 2018
The conference goal is to provide a professional development opportunity for educators and parents who work with children ages 3-21 with significant intellectual and low incidence disabilities. This conference is supported by Part B IDEA funds.

Beat the Heat 2018
June 21-22, 2018
ESC Region 13 | 5701 Springdale Rd., Austin, TX 78723

Conference Audience: Special education teachers, early childhood/PPCD teachers, instructional coaches/support staff, transition specialists, paraeducators, related service providers, speech language pathologists, teachers of the visually impaired, and parents.

This year's Beat the Heat will be packed with two days of excellent learning opportunities. On Thursday, June 21st we will have full day sessions for participants' extended learning. On Friday, June 22nd, we will have a short keynote presentation and followed by 90 minute breakout sessions presented by the best and brightest from here in Region 13.

On Friday, June 22nd we are looking for 90 minute presentations. We have these time slots available.
-10:15-11:45 am
-12:45-2:15 pm
- 2:30-4:00 pm

Why present? Professionals like to hear practical applications from others in the trenches. You have a chance to share your expertise with others. You get to attend Beat the Heat for free! Conference registration will be provided for up to two (2) presenters per session.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 21, 2018.
Acceptance notifications will be sent out by March 29, 3018.
