Hello Members! Below listed are the Committees and their respective descriptions. You will have to choose at least one to join this school year you work with. Click the link and it will take you to that committee’s specific Group me. The group you choose will be led by your Committee chairs, they will set times to meet and discuss their plans of action and goals this semester and you will work as a team to accomplish these goals!

Membership Committee: 

  • Responsible for Recruitment and engagement

  • Developing membership recruitment strategies

  • ensure members remain engaged 

  • collaborate with their committees

  • create promotional campaigns 

  • serves as a primary point of contact for inquiry and issues

Political Action Committee:

  • Responsible for leading and managing the organization's political and advocacy efforts

  • Developing strategies to influence policy

  • organize and lead campaigns to support legislative and policy initiative

  • coordinating events, drafting materials

  • plays a crucial mission through effective political advocacy

Program & Research Chair:

  • Responsible for studying local and national issues affecting black and other minority groups 

  • recommend these issue for discussion and action

  • run a speakers bureau for campus and community use

  • present an annual activity program to the executive committee

Press & Publicity:

 Housing & Community Planning:

  • Responsible for studying housing conditions for black and minority individuals on and off campus

  • ensure equal housing rights on campus 

  • oppose off-campus housing discrimination

  • enforce housing and sanitation codes 

  • use direct action to address poor housing conditions

  • overall improve housing for minorities in the community
