The Broadband Ready Certified Community designation seeks to recognize Colorado communities that have taken steps to encourage broadband infrastructure deployment. Communities that acknowledge adherence with the Colorado Broadband Office's Broadband Ready Community Checklist are eligible for certification. CBO’s goal is to encourage as many communities as possible to become Broadband Ready to take advantage of federal and state grant funding opportunities. While the designation does not guarantee state and federal broadband funding, it will identify the community as a willing partner that has minimized barriers to broadband infrastructure deployment. All communities with the designation will be featured on CBO's website. A Broadband Ready Certified Community designation is not required to receive funding via the Advance Colorado Broadband program.
