2018 Ink Shop Exhibition Proposal
Each year the Ink Shop organizes about six to ten exhibitions in-house. These include group shows, invitationals, one or two person shows and membership shows that explore contemporary print and book arts.

Our 2018 schedule is due by September 30th. We don't guarantee the below dates are still available, as we may secure some shows before September 30th.

Suggested Exhibit Donation
Please contribute towards organizing the exhibition by sending a check of $300 payable to The Ink Shop. The Ink Shop is a volunteer, artist-run, nonprofit 501©(3c) organization that relies on the contributions of artists, collectors, and art appreciators to keep the shop going. We do appreciate any extra contributions, including artwork that the artist may wish to contribute as a tax-deductible donation.
Sale of Work
The Ink Shop will handle all sales for the duration of the show. It is the responsibility of the artist to report his/her own sales tax. If the artist’s work is purchased, The Ink Shop will send a check to the artist within 1-2 weeks after the closing of the exhibition. The Ink Shop collects a 30% commission on all artwork (including the frame unless otherwise stated), not including the sales tax.
Advertising
The Ink Shop will advertise the exhibition on the website, mail at least 200 postcards, hang and light the exhibition, and hold an opening reception in conjunction with the main gallery opening. Images of the artist’s work will possibly be used for advertising purposes such as press releases, unless otherwise stated by the artist. For this purpose, the artist will provide the following materials: Digital files of a resume, a brief artist statement, and at least one digital image of the art work measuring 300 dpi x 6 inches on longest side. There may be two exhibits opening at the same time and both exhibits share space on one card.
Return of Work
Return of work: The Ink Shop will mail the artwork back with the same packaging and shipping company at the artist’s expense as received by the Ink Shop as soon as possible (2 weeks after closing the show).
Insurance
The Ink Shop carries fine arts insurance for art work on exhibit at The Ink Shop, and artwork stored in our facility. Any additional insurance is the responsibility of the artist. Work being mailed to or from The Ink Shop is not insured. Works will be handled, stored and exhibited with all necessary precautions in order to insure that the art is safe and damage-free. If the artwork is very valuable, we advise the artist to insure under her/his own policy.
