Please note the following criteria that will be used when adding businesses to the directory. These criteria may change in the future:

- Businesses **MUST** be:
- located (or registered) within the geographic boundary of Fayette County, PA
- locally-owned and submitted by the owner(s)
- not a franchise location of a large chain

- not MLM, network marketing, or similar
- Registered as a business in Pennsylvania (preferably Fayette County, but we anticipate exceptions). We will use the PA Department of State's 'Search Business Entity' tool to confirm that your business entity is registered with the state. This service is available at: https://file.dos.pa.gov/search/business
- In lieu of the search tool above, we can also confirm your business entity with the PA HICPA search for home improvement contractors (https://hicsearch.attorneygeneral.gov), the PA License service (https://www.pals.pa.gov), health inspection results (https://www.pafoodsafety.pa.gov/Web/Inspection/PublicInspectionSearch.aspx), or another 3rd party government registry.

This directory is updated by its maintainer in their free time. There are no guarantees for the timing of when information is updated and the inclusion criteria can change at any time. Also, the maintainer will determine for each business whether, at a minimum, the above inclusion criteria have been met. Businesses that do not **clearly** reflect the requirements above and those found in our ToS will not be included in the directory.
