It is that time of year again for our annual MBS Cross Country.
WHERE: Te Puru Park (start and finish) and Omana Regional ParkWHEN: Tuesday 3rd July (saving day 24th July)
There are three fantastic courses (the same as 2017). Maps will be sent out next week via e-mail and there will be a training run from Te Puru Park on Sunday 17th June at 9am (for those interested). The Year 5-8 students will be doing the long 3km race, the Year 3-4 students will be running the medium 1.5km race and the Year 0-2 students the short 600m course. Students have been training for the cross country in their fitness sessions throughout the school week. Students will be competing in their house colours to promote participation and house spirit. Students will need to wear their running shoes for this event.

Students will need:Change of clothes- Sports uniform to get changed into on the return to schoolTowel and plastic bag (to sit on)A big lunch and water bottlePlastic bag to put muddy clothes
We also need some tarpaulins for students to sit on. Please let your child’s teacher know if you can help with this. This event will not be able to go ahead without parent marshals. This ensures that our children are kept safe on the course and don't get lost throughout the course. I will be sending out a google form asking for help. On this please indicate below if you are able to help out as a marshal. Furthermore, this year MBS will be hosting the ECCS Cross Country (East Counties Country Schools). We are in need of parent marshals for this event held on Wednesday 1st August. Please also add to google form if you are able to help out with this event. A coffee van will be at Te Puru for both events.
Many thanksWayne Gillard
