Take the time out for some self-care through creativity with Khaula Mazhar! Research shows the positive effects of art on mental and physical well-being, and watercolour painting in particular offers calming, therapeutic benefits through its smooth brushstrokes and flowing blends. Join this art therapy session at MuslimFest and create a beautiful, serene masterpiece to begin your journey toward relaxation and destressing
This workshop is hosted by Khaula Siddique, a self-taught local artist of South Asian descent. Her Rumi-inspired work reflects her fascination with the natural world and the interconnectedness of all things. Passionate about bringing art to the community, Khaula leads interactive art activities and public art projects. When she’s not painting, she enjoys spoiling her large, eccentric orange tabby, who doubles as her critic and muse. Her murals, installations, and digital animations can be seen around the GTA.
