This is a form for entering the Nyack Decorations Contest for Downtown Businesses and Residential Homes, or for just getting your home or business on the Decorations Map.
Here's what you need to know:
1. Prizes
We have prizes for both the popular vote and a judge's panel. For businesses, the prize for both the popular vote and the judge's panel is a $200 gift card to Hotel Nyack, plus we will be buying a $100 gift card from your business, and presenting that as the prize for the winning home in that contest. For residents in the Home Decorating Contest, the prize for both the popular vote and the judge's panel is a $100 gift card for the winner of the Downtown Contest.
THAT SAID, YOU DON'T NEED TO BE IN THE CONTEST TO GET ON OUR DECORATIONS MAP. YOU CAN JUST TELL US THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO BE PART OF THE CONTEST.
2. Public Voting
Public voting will be done at
www.nyack.link/vote. People will have to register a google address to vote, and can vote for as many homes and businesses as they want -- that is, they won't pick just their one favorite, they can pick as many as they like.
3. Deadline
We will open the contest for voting in early December The contest will end on December 23rd, when we will announce the winners.
4. Rules
We don't have any specific rules for the contest . Try to make your businesses and homes as festive as possible. We reserve the right to remove a contestant for any reason, including decorations in poor taste, or entries that join the contest but never put up decorations.
If you ever wish to remove yourself from the contest, just let us know at joerand@nyack.gov.
