2019 CAMP CONSTANTIN - June 30th to July 6th, 2019

This is the Sign Up Form for the Troop 599's 2019 Summer Camp at Camp Constantin / Jack Furst Aquatic Base near Graford, TEXAS. The camp dates are Sunday, June 30th through Saturday, July 6th.

Camp Constantin is a Great camp that has a lot to offer. EVERYONE will want to join us at this summer camp adventure! This is a fantastic way for new scout to kick-off their THUNDERBIRD career in Scouting and for ALL our Scouts to earn some Merit Badges and possibly a rank advancement and more.

Camp Constantin/Jack D. Furst Aquatic Base is located on Possum Kingdom Lake in Palo Pinto County. This camp has over 385 acres and covers six miles of shoreline that look towards the majestic Castle Cliff on Possum Kingdom Lake. Activities include hiking, rifle, shotgun, archery, canoeing and swimming in one of the clearest lakes in Texas.

The camp contains 15 campsites and acts as both a regular camp open to Boy Scouts from all areas and as Circle 10's largest and longest running summer camp hosting roughly 2,800 Scouts during the 7 weeks it's open during the summer.
Summer camp programs include one of Scouting's largest waterfront areas with sailboats, waterskiing, canoeing, swimming, motor boating, snorkeling, and blobbing. Camp Constantin also offers a variety of program areas such as: Handicraft, Nature, Scoutcraft, Shooting Sports (including a new 5-stand shotgun range) and much more. The Jack D. Furst Aquatic Base is famous for its waterskiing program featuring a fleet of ski boats for skiing some of the very best water in Texas. The camp also includes a 700+ seat chapel/amphitheater, air-conditioned dining hall, and fully plumbed private bathhouses and restrooms.

We will be driving by bus approximately 350 miles with an estimated driving time of ~6 1/2 hours, inclusive of stops. We will plan on stopping for Lunch and to stretch our legs.

NOTE: Fees for Summer Camp are set at $350 per Scout.
Adults are $50 per person
Payments will be according to the following schedule:

Due by: February 5th $150.00 per Scout (non-refundable)
and $50 per Adult
March 5th $100.00 per Scout
April 2nd $100.00 per Scout

OLDER SCOUTS - WATER ODYSSEY: The Water Odyssey is a series of aquatics-based activities available for the older Scouts attending camp. This will allow these Scouts to take merit badge classes in the morning and enjoy afternoons on beautiful Possum Kingdom Lake. Water Odyssey is no longer an all-day program!

Scout Prerequisites: 14 years of age, Life Scout or higher, Swimmer classification on BSA Swim Test, Small Boat Sailing merit badge.

Pre-registration will be available during MB sign-up for the Water Odyssey! The fee to participate in the week’s Water Odyssey activities is $25.

FOR ALL ALSO NOTE: Some Merit Badges have additional fees for kits and or associated costs (ie: all Shooting sports, Basketry, Leatherwork, Woodcarving, Indian Lore, etc.). If these fees are known when we sign-up for Merit Badges we will collect them with your March or April payment, if they are not known they will be paid by the individual once we get to camp.
