Community Threat Group Identification, Assessment and Information Reporting for Law Enforcement Officers (MGT 406)
This 8-hour course takes a comprehensive approach to examining threat groups in our communities, with a particular focus on the nexus of gangs, hate groups, domestic and international terrorist organizations as they converge for the purposes of criminal enterprise. Through this course, students will learn to identify the criminal activities of community threat groups (CTG) and networks that impact communities across the country; classify domestic and international community threat groups on the basis of institutionalization, sophistication and likelihood for convergence; and, use a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) to report suspicious activity carried out by CTGs.
