GDLX 2025 - FREE Showcase!
IMPORTANT, MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS COMPLETELY BEFORE APPLYING.

Thank you for your interest in being part of the GDLX 2025 Showcase in April.

We are hoping to showcase a wide range of games as well as developers and studios.
This is your chance to put your studio/games forward ahead of these being open to the public!
SHOWCASING WILL BE FREE FOR INDIE DEV STUDIOS!!

What are the requirements?
You can be at any stage of funding or publishing, ideally with a website, and game play footage.
YOU MUST HAVE A CLEAN PLAYABLE DEMO.
The more "Showcase Ready" you are the higher your chances of being selected to showcase.
The showcases will be in person so you will require at least 2 people at your designated station throughout the duration of the event. If you're a solo developer we will have support on hand to help you throughout the day.
(If you're students/graduates/hobbyists or really early stage developers, we will consider your game, fill out as much of the form as possible and contact admin in the GDL discord (link below) , and or email hello@gamedevlocal.com)
For regular GDL updates please join our discord:

What happens when I'm selected?
If you are selected to showcase, you will be invited to the GDLX 2025 Discord Server where we will keep everyone upto date on all important information.

Please fill in all of your details below and we will get back to all applicants to let them know they're selected, some time Mid-Late Feb.

If you apply after Feb, we will still try and find spaces for you to showcase!

NOTE: To showcase your game, you will require everything you need to physically showcase, we are always looking to try and provide some equipment, but currently you will need your own monitors and devices. You will need to be able to showcase without WiFi requirements. Again, we are working on being able to upgrade all of these things, but as a precaution we are asking you be fully prepared. This includes promotional materials such as pull-up banners/flyers/business cards ect.

Do you consent to visuals of your game being streamed, recorded, and/or released by Game Dev Local to the public? *
We would love to share everything with the wider games community during GDL showcases as a stream and possibly after as a GDL podcast episode, as both video and audio. Please let us know if you are happy for you, your team, and/or your game to appear in footage that is branded and shared publicly as both video and audio as a GDL podcast episode, marketing material, and/or other content.

By agreeing to these terms, you hereby grant GDL a perpetual, royalty-free, and unrestricted right to use, modify, clip, edit, and transform any visuals and audio content you provide for the purpose of promoting you, your studio, and GDL’s events and services. GDL may utilise this content across any media platform without limitation.

Should you believe that any usage of this content misrepresents you or your game, you may submit a formal request for its removal. While GDL will review and consider such requests, any final decision regarding the removal of content will remain at GDL’s sole discretion.

Diversity and Inclusion Questions
We want all of the games and developers chosen to represent the diversity of the games industry as a whole, so these questions are included to assist us in highlighting diverse and lesser heard voices within the industry to reflect on those facts. The following questions are optional, but will help us to ensure the expo is reflective of the games industry. This information will not be shared with any third parties and you do not have to answer any of them.
