Workshop facilitator Application
Hello! Welcome to the Sunrose Arts Festival application portal!

Here we would like to get to know a little bit more about you and how you would like to get involved at this year's festival!

A little bit about us:
We are a nonprofit group celebrating artists, hoping to create a stronger artistic network in Kent and the wider community, and offering artists the opportunity to grow in their craft!

We are currently funded by Canterbury BID and Canterbury Christchurch University.

Our festival will be Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July in Dane John Gardens, and in various locations across the city!

During the Festival Weekend, we would like to welcome some wonderful artists to do a workshop on what they create to enlighten the bright minds of Canterbury, and encourage them to partake in art!

The workshop will be two sessions of around 30 minutes on Sunday 23rd July.

Residencies:
Sunrose had introduced a new residency scheme! This means that, through the day, you will be allocated a venue across the city to engage with and create art in.
This will be cafes, galleries, and creative spaces!
These residencies will be part of the Sunrose Arts Scavenger Hunt, in which the general public will visit these places to receive a piece of art, learn a bit more about you etc.
For workshop artists, this could be offering them a doodle, giving them a short poem, that kind of thing!
You are not obligated to stay in this space all day of course! You are welcome to pop in and out, if you leave the pieces of art for them to find with the staff at the venue.

If you have minimal experience, don't worry! We would like to welcome artists of all ages and experiences.

In our previous year, we were lucky enough to be an Arts Council funded festival, supported by the National Lottery Project Grant.

We have applied for this funding again, and should receive a response when the applications close.

We hope pay our artists at an industry standard of £200 per day, but if we are unsuccessful, your fee will be £20. Are you happy to proceed?

If you are unsuccessful, we would still love for you to be a part of the festival and would like to offer you a slot to perform at Exposure Open Stage or the Poetry Fireside during the festival. Would you like to partake in this?
