Earth Day and World Fish Migration Day Community Clean-Up - Saturday, April 21st, 10am-1pm
Join your neighbors in a special Earth Day and World Fish Migration Day Community Clean-Up at 10am and a Fish Migration Celebration at Upper Landing Park at 12:15pm!

Middle Main is organizing the clean-up at Murphy Park, by the Underwear factory. Litter bags and gloves will be provided.
Please register for this clean-up by emailing or by calling 845.454.5176 ext 303. If the weather is bad an email will be sent out the day of to confirm.

The Environmental Cooperative will be organizing creek cleanups at three different locations in Poughkeepsie: the Poughkeepsie Underwear Factory, Malcolm X Park, and Brookside Avenue / Verrazano Boulevard. We will be picking up trash on the streets and in the creek at each location so wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty and shoes that can get wet. Litter bags, gloves and a limited number of rubber waders will be provided. This is a rain or shine event.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

After the clean-up join the rev-eel-ry of World Fish Migration Day at Upper Landing Park for a Fish Migration Celebration! Learn about the American Eel, our local migratory fish, watch DEC volunteers check the Eel net, and get a chance to see some live "glass" eels. Beginning at 12:15pm.

Sponsored by the New York State DEC Hudson River Estuary Program
