This year, ELN is introducing a new membership structure that allows families to invest in the workshops and programs that suit the needs of individual young people.

Membership: Monthly: $13 | Annually: $150 ) A $50, one-time, non-refundable payment is due upon application approval to your monthly or one-time payment)

Wissahickon Environmental Center - Monthly: $4 | Annually - $40 | Non-member: $65
An 8-part workshop series, meeting monthly on Tuesday’s at The Tree House offering curious nature lovers of all ages and awareness levels the opportunity to engage their interests through hands-on learning and exploration.

This program is suited to all curious young people who enjoy the outdoors and prefer to connect through experiential learning methods. These workshops have the capability to be explored as a primary introduction/review to natural sciences or compliment an existing curriculum.

All workshops meet one Tuesday per month [March – June & August – November] from 1 pm – 3 pm.

Workshops are outdoors with extended periods of walking on uneven terrain. Attire should be suited to weather conditions, rain or shine.

The ELN/WEC partnership program offers families the ability to enjoy these exclusive home education workshops at cost per young person.

Workshops: Maple Sugaring, Foraging, Tree Identification, Creek Study, Scavenger Hunt, Scat Tracking, Shelter Building, Owl Pellet Dissection

Teens, Inc - Monthly: $8 | Annually: $100 (You must be a member of either Teens, Inc or ELN to gain access to programs.
Teens Inc is a non-profit member-based organization that connects teens to the world through local and global service by building, strengthening and growing communities for teens by teens.
The ELN/Teens, Inc partnership program provides unique learning opportunities unparalleled in formal education for ages 5 and up.

This program is suited for self-directed young people and parents interested in strengthening social connections, community engagement and building positive family relationships.

Book-A-Month Club: Monthly: $6 | Annually - $70 | Non-member: $80 Annually

BAM was created and is facilitated by a 13-year-old book lover who desires to share reading adventures with peers focusing on social and racial justice topics that foster deep discussion, appreciation and awareness within the community and beyond.

Book lovers ages 11 – 15 who desire to read, discuss current events and share experiences that are relevant to yesterday, today and tomorrow are welcomed. This program is limited to 7 young people.

Books and refreshments (tea or hot cocoa) included.
