FPAC Appointed Member Nomination Form

The Philadelphia Food Policy Advisory Council connects Philadelphians and their local government to create a more just food system—where all people have the power to access, own and control our food, land and labor.
Join FPAC as an appointed member and help advise the Administration on how to be a better partner in the regional food system. You will collaborate with food system stakeholders, City employees, and other residents to craft policies that will transform the Philadelphia food system.

Appointed members serve as volunteer (currently exploring possibility of providing paid stipend) individuals on the Council, rather than as representatives of an organization, for a three-year term. FPAC's Membership & Governance Subcommittee reviews the nominee pool and recommends nominees to the Mayor for appointment in June and December. Appointed members often serve on FPAC subcommittees or working groups, contributing on average ten hours per month towards FPAC meetings, projects, testimony, and policy recommendations.

Appointed members have the power to vote on action items and are required to attend 6 voting meetings per year to ensure FPAC meets quorum to make decisions.
