Austin's Bike Bus Program 

Next training will be hosted on December 13th from 8:30-11:30 am at Cepeda Branch, Austin Public Library 651 N Pleasant Valley Rd, Austin, TX 78702

Join our free bike leader training clinic to become an Austin Bike Bus Leader. You’ll learn how to:

  • Lead students on a safe, pre-planned bike route to/from school
  • Teach and reinforce safe riding habits (helmet fit, hand signals, road positioning)
  • Coordinate with parents, school staff, and SRTS personnel

This training is supported by the City of Austin’s Safe Routes to School Crossing Guard program and the Get There ATX program. By completing this form, you are only expressing your interest and will still need to complete the SRTS Crossing Guard Application. Applications are currently closed and will be reopened 

We will prioritize the schools/neighborhood routes that are recruit 3-5 Bike Bus Leaders for training session. We will be hosting multiple trainings throughout the school year.
