We, the undersigned, urge our elected officials to support and protect the mission of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) in its funding of state libraries.
Our State Library receives vital funding for valuable services to New Hampshire libraries including Interlibrary Loan, Talking Books for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, our Downloadable Books consortium, technology training, as well as staffing for these services. If this funding were eliminated, our residents would be severely impacted by these losses. We urge you to preserve these important programs for New Hampshire’s residents.
Furthermore, we urge you to protect our State Library and continue to fully fund these core services through our state budget if this federal funding is eliminated.
By recognizing the importance of our State Library, we support all our New Hampshire communities. We, the undersigned, urge you to safeguard this institution for our future generations.
