There are no scary requirements to join UCUCommons, we are a broad grouping who coalesce around a set of values: https://ucucommons.org/our-values/.

We have three conditions for membership: you must share our values, not be a member of any other faction within the union, and have no history of bullying/harassment. All current UCUCommons members are given the opportunity to raise any issues with applicants looking to join, so your name will be shared with the group once you have submitted the form.

If successful, the fact of your membership will be shared with existing members, but we won't make it public unless you ask us to.

Our membership committee meets every few weeks and you should hear by email if your application has been successful.
